1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
You can remember that this is number 1 because some religions have taught that Heavenly Father and Jesus and the Holy Ghost are all one person. We know that they are three separate persons who are "one in purpose." Their purpose is "to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39)
Your parents are two separate people, but they are one in purpose. They work together to bring about the happiness and eternal relationships in your family, and to bless the lives of other people, too.
